Application Process

Making the Application Process Easier

The application process for Social Security Disability benefits can be daunting. The majority of those who apply for disability benefits are already experiencing stress from an inability to work and earn income. The application process can require a great deal of paper work and applicants must present the information in a way that the disability determination staff will be able to clearly understand and see their eligibility for benefits.

While this may not be a problem for a skilled administrator, it is a common problem for the rest of society. Thankfully, the lawyers from our office are skilled and seasoned in the presentation of claims so that they normally move through the process smoothly. We understand that it takes some individuals years to complete the process and they still may not be approved. You need someone on your side that can fight for your rights.

Social Security Disability Lawyer in Oakland

There are essentially four opportunities to appeal a denial of claim. Once submitted, the initial application takes anywhere from three to six months to receive a reply. After each rejection, you have 60 days in which to file an appeal. The third and fourth attempts take about a yeareach to receive a reply. As you can see, the process can be very lengthy. Our goal is to smooth the road for you and try and take as much time out of the process as possible. Our skill and experience fighting for others is an advantage you can benefit from when you use our services. When we take on a case, we accept no fee from our clients unless we win the case for them.
